Its a concentrated cohort of classes within the accounting or computer disciplines, For the Accounting Certificate, there are 24 credits required (eight classes). For the Business Technology Enterprise Certificate, 18 credits required (six classes). These are credit courses that will be reflected in the student's transcripts.
Not everyone needs or wants a complete degree program. Recognizing this, the Division of Continuing & International Education at the University of Miami – in collaboration with several other colleges and schools at the University - offers special Credit Certificate Programs. Focusing on a single subject area, certificate programs deliver the concentrated knowledge and skills needed for fast career advancement.
For the Accounting Certificate, a bachelor’s degree in a major other than accounting is required, with a minimum 3.0 GPA. For the Business Technology Enterprise Certificate there are no pre-requisites, although a strong computer background is recommended.

Class offerings vary by semester starting as early as 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
These classes do not qualify for financial assistance; different from a degree path, they are designed for a certificate.
These are upper-level classes that are mostly taken individually, therefore, the programs can be completed within approximately two years.
